Showered With Love

Last Saturday several of my friends got together to throw a shower to celebrate the coming of our baby girl. It was truly beautiful! My friend April and her mother-in-law made a GORGEOUS cake. It was the first time they had ever worked with fondant and they did a breathtaking job!!!! It was such a special day, I just wanted to share some pics. Enjoy!

Sneak Peek of the Nursery

Here are some pics of a few items you will find in baby girls nursery. We've been busy this week working like dogs to get it all done. She'll be here in a week and a half! Whew, hope I don't go into labor early! I decided on a mix of all things vintage, french and fashion. Really, it's just going to be a soft, girly space. Pictures of the final product to come!!!

Since I'm nearing the end of this pregnancy I thought I would jump on the "Fashion Friday" bandwagon, such a fun concept. Here are a few things I hope will be joing my closet soon!

More Easter Decor

I can't believe I left this out on my earlier easter post, but a few weeks ago I listed a new set of vintage bunny towels on my etsy site. Here are a few pictures, hope you like!

A Few Pictures of My Treasures

Last week on my husband's day off we decided to go to the beach for a bit since our new address lands us about 5 minutes away. Our Shiloh loved it! It was so much fun to experience it through his eyes with such awe and wonder. Here are a few pictures I took of my two favorite guys.

An Idea Is Born

Lately I've been working on some finishing touches for my son's vintage travel room. I know, i know I really need to get working on my sweet little girl's room. She'll be here just 3 weeks from today! I have decided on the direction I want to go in for her room, I have a ton of painting to do and hopefully, I'll get started on that in the next day or two. Anyway, back to my son's room, I found a great flag banner at The Land of Nod and the colors were perfect. I decided to look on ebay too, which somehow led me to look for vintage banners and I found a lot of 26 vintage travel souvenier banners!!!!!!! How cool is that? I won the auction and I can't wait to get them, I'm going to string together on material and hang them over his curtains to add more color to his room. Can't wait to post a picture of the finished product.

Simply Decadent Bedrooms

The impending birth of my second child has me both excited and a little aprehensious. Really, I'm wondering just how much sleep will I get? This thought process led me to find some simply dreamy bedrooms. Surely I'd be able to coax a newborn and a 19 month old to sleep in rooms such as these.

In Search of Living Room Ideas

We recently moved and I'm working to beat the band trying to set everything up before our little girl arrives in just 4 weeks. I always like to try to see things in new ways, especially when my surroundings are new. I've always drooled over classic black chesterfields. Of course, it is seriously out of my budget right now but it got me thinking, maybe I can cover my current sofa in black and have a whole new living room. I want to combine things I love and it would work well with my accent chairs ( I have 2 cream chairs and 2 black and cream leopard chairs). I would like to keep the walls white but add some cottage elements to make the combo a little less stark. Here are some pics I found of neutral living rooms that are food for thought.

Easter's on it's way!!!!

I've been thinking about Easter a lot the last few days. It's probably because my sweet daughter is scheduled to arrive via c-section on Good Friday and more than likely we'll be coming home on Easter. I'm trying to juggle so many things which is why I haven't blogged in a while setting up our new home we're renting, unpack and after that try to pull a nursery together in just a few short weeks! Whew! With all of this on my plate I really must put together the kids Easter baskets and have them ready far in advance of our trip to the hospital but in my search for some things for them, I came across some great finds for the home at www.roomservicehome.com. It's a fabulous site and not just for Easter things, perfect to browse if you're looking for a unique gift or if you just want to view a little eye candy. Check it out!
